PGY-1 Residents

jacob barnett

Jacob Barnett

Jacob is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. He is originally from Taylorsville, KY, and completed both his undergraduate and pharmacy education at the University of Kentucky. Jacob’s current interests include critical care, infectious disease, and academia. When not at work he enjoys checking out local breweries and restaurants with friends, bingeing his latest Netflix show or keeping up with UK sports.


Lauren Bivacca

Lauren Bivacca

Lauren is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. She is originally from Nashville, TN and received her PharmD from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Lauren’s current interests include hematology/oncology and infectious diseases. In her free time, Lauren enjoys binge watching new shows, baking, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach.


Kyle Gash

Kyle Gash

Kyle is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. He is originally from Fort Walton Beach, FL and received his PharmD from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Kyle’s current interests include medication safety and oncology. In his free time, Kyle enjoys playing golf, watching football, listening to podcasts, and exploring new restaurants.


Tori Gray

Tori Gray

Tori is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. She is originally from Harrodsburg, KY, and received her PharmD from the University of Kentucky. Tori’s current interest areas include oncology and pediatric pharmacy. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the UK Basketball team, hanging out with her dog Sadie, and spending time outside with friends and family.


Albert Tieu

Albert Tieu

Albert is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. He is originally from Tampa, FL and received his PharmD from the University of Florida. Albert’s current interests are infectious diseases, pediatrics, and informatics. Aside from pharmacy, he loves doing outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking, playing video games, cooking, and can also play musical instruments (violin and clarinet)!


Briana Williams

Briana Williams

Briana is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. She is originally from Newark, NJ, but grew up in the Central Florida area. She completed both her undergraduate and pharmacy education at the University of Florida (go gators)! Briana’s current professional interests include critical care and pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, dancing, and trying out new recipes!


PGY-2 Critical Care

Ariel Haber

Ariel Haber

Ariel is a PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. She is originally from Wallkill, NY and received her PharmD from the University of Rhode Island. She completed her PGY-1 residency training at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ariel’s current interests include trauma, ECMO, and neurocritical care. In her free time, Ariel enjoys playing tennis, being outside, and checking out local coffee shops and restaurants.


PGY-2 Infectious Diseases

Kunjan Shah

Kunjan Shah

Kunjan is a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. He is originally from India, but grew up in Marietta, GA. He received his PharmD from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and completed his PGY-1 pharmacy residency training at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. His professional interests include MDR infections, immunocompromised ID, and antimicrobial stewardship. In his free time, Kunjan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going to mandir, and binge-watching TV shows.


PGY-2 Pediatrics

Sarah Kennedy

Sarah Kennedy

Sarah is a PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Resident at UF Health Shands Hospital. She is originally from Fort Pierce, FL and completed her Bachelor’s at the University of Central Florida, and PharmD at the University of North Carolina. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Her current practice interests include NICU, emergency medicine, and general pediatrics. Outside of pharmacy, Sarah enjoys playing Frisbee with her dog Cannoli, watching the Bachelor franchise series, going to the beach, and going to Disney!
