Pulmonary Functions Lab

The Pulmonary Functions Lab serves lung transplant, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients of all ages, and works in close collaboration with the University of Florida College of Medicine.

We enjoy a high degree of physician interaction along with an ideal weekday-only, holidays-off schedule. Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) rotate weekend call (one RRT/weekend) for care of emergent bronchoscopies only.

Our pulmonary techs have the support of a patient-friendly environment that encourages excellence, education and exploration. The professionals here at the UF Health Pulmonary Functions Lab were the first in the state to perform thoracoscopy procedures.

Working here means having exposure to high-end equipment and newly emerging technologies, like right heart cath innovations. Continued growth and program expansion are on the horizon. The best time to join us is now.
